I mean, really? We don't see huge amounts of Tom Ford on red carpets, mainly because he must be so particular with who wears his designs, but when we do, nine times out of 10 whoever is wearing it looks incredible. But Marisa Berenson - 66-year-old model who actually walked in Tom Ford's debut womenswear catwalk a few years ago, - in this POW red dress from Ford's autumn/winter 2013 is literally the best I've seen any Tom Ford look (I can't bloody find a full length image, but I'll try). And Michelle Dockery, Lady Mary, in a dress from Mary Katrantzou's Resort 2014 collection (the designers' first resort collection) is perfection. An English rose actress in an oh-so-pretty British designers' dress. The dress has actually been modified for Michelle, but the print is still there, and amazing as usual.I just love the colour clash of these two dresses. And also I love that an 'older' lady - Marisa - is totally rocking a dress like this, a dress that should be quite difficult to wear. She makes it look effortlessly, achingly cool. I've wanted to see this dress on someone other than a model (or mannequin in the new Tom Ford store in London), and I'm so pleased to see it on such a an amazing 'older' woman.
