From the fitting room: too much floral print??

image image (3)I don't know about you, but whenever I see floral prints at this time of year, one thing pops into my head...

Florals, for Spring. Groundbreaking!  - Miranda Priestly

Givenchy's Riccardo Tisci didn't listen though. He went full on floral for his spring/summer 2014 pre-collection for us men. Well, he did team his flowers with camo and check print too, but the overriding, overpowering feature to this collection was his hyper-florals.For a designer who seamlessly carries over collection ideas from womenswear to men's, this one has had lots of reaction. It's definitely a Marmite fashion situation. Personally, I do think Tisci's bright pink flowers are perfect for spring. They are too much, of course they are - this is the man who printed Rottweilers on literally everything a few seasons back. I'm a sucker for an all-over print. But when is too much enough? Ever?image (2) image (1)Jeans, joggers, sweats, Tees, shirts and shorts. Striped, blotched, faded, mixed with check and camo. All the variations are there. Would you wear any of it?
