Scroll down to see what some blogger mates thought of Will's look...
I'm all for men in oversized things, even dresses, but I think the problem here is that Will Young is NOT fashion forward. We've never seen him in feathers or mad crazy print or with Barbie heads hanging off shoulder pads.He is, what we like to call, vanilla. So this just looks a bit... odd. On Marc Jacobs - the one who is au fait with dressing in dresses - it might look good. Just not on Will.FYI, it's a piece from a fashion friend's graduate collection, name to be confirmed.

Has Will Young been sneaking into Marc Jacobs' closet again?! Or maybe he's been getting styling advice from Helena Bonham-Carter. Whatever it is, it doesn't work. The asymmetric kaftan-thing looks a mess, the leggings make him look stumpy, and the Converse clash. It doesn't even look like he's done his hair.

Ohhhh holy God !!!! A phrase Will should be used to: i'ts a NO from me! What was he thinking? It's rare you get to say this but... did Will get dressed in the dark? There's very little positive I can say about this look and I was bought up with the maxim of if you have nothing good to say then don't say anything, and in the wise words from Mr Young, "I think I better leave right now".

I had the privilege of seeing this in the flesh. I think on someone else it might work – but an outfit like this needs to be worn with confidence and Will jut wasn't pulling it off. I half expected to look down at his feet and see some oversized clown shoes. Maybe that would have helped?

So at first I thought Will had raided the CBeebies dress up box, lost a bet, or just didn't want to waste time later getting into his night gown for bed but apparently he's supporting a fashion grad friend. Whilst this is commendable, there is no escaping the fact he looks like a muppet. Actually I take that back style maven Miss Piggy wouldn't be seen dead in this. The attitude party would never be your traditional black tie soiree, but rocking up looking like a polka dot nursery rhyme character in battered converse is never going to be a red carpet winner. Will's mate owes him, big time for this exposure! But then again there are parts of my graduate collection I'm happy will never see the light of day.
