Any MTV awards red/blue/black carpet is basically a free-for-all when it comes to fashion. You never know what you might find. The good, bad and ugly find their way in front of the glaring paps. And this year's Movie Awards were no exception. Here are some of my best dressed...
This is no particular order: Victoria Justice sparkled in this Versace Spring Summer '15 frock, perfect for a 20-something actress. It showed plenty of flesh, but in a retro-fun way. Scarlett Johansson is a star through and through - this Zuhair Murad Pre-fall '15 pink jumpsuit is so spot on for her, and had no signs of sagging or bagging anywhere, which is a feat in itself with a jumpsuit. Even though I have no idea who Emily Ratajkowski is, I can say that her barely there Fausto Puglisi AW15 dress somehow worked. This collection, along with most of Puglisi's, was about sex sex sex, and Emily shows us how to work this half-dress-half-bikini frock. And Jennifer Lopez... you can always rely on her 'one arm on hip, other arm down' pose, smouldering pout, and ample curves for FIERCENESS on the red carpet. This Versus Versace Spring 2015 blazer and mini skirt combo just works so well on her. I love her 'if it ain't broken, why fix it' approach to fashion. This is her true style.
And then the bad. Only one made it on my list. Shailene Woodley. Oh Shailene... what happened?
She was having such a good streak with her dresses, and then this happens. This high-waisted disaster. It looks like a young, confused boy has had a go at his mums wardrobe, and come out looking... a mess. Sorry to be bitchy, but this is NOT OK. There's not one iota of shape to this. How disappointing. Better luck next time!
