Hey!

Welcome to The Very Simon G. My blog has been going for nearly a decade, but there ain’t getting away from me just yet! Come in for fashion, fun and everything in between. Enjoy!

Blog Off: Adam Lambert in MSGM print shirt...

Oh God I love Adam. I love his new album (download it now if you haven't - The Original High). I love his style even more. Here he is earlier this week in a palm tree print shirt by MSGM, black harem trousers and Kurt Geiger sandals.I. WANT. THIS. LOOK. It's such a right bit of me, I can't even cope! But what do some other blogger mates think? Scroll down to find out...

Sooo Adam Lambert then. Well Simon I know you're a big fan so I'll be nice (mostly). The shirt is fabulous; that '50s Hawaiian style is definitely having a moment, and MSGM know how to do a good print. It also shows off his chest and sleeve tattoos perfectly; there's nothing wrong with a few buttons undone if you're on hols. The sandals are ace too - though perhaps a little high; I always think a full gladiator can look a little bit Soho. What gets me is the harem pants. Seriously Adam, it's not 2006 and you're not just back from your gap yaah. If this was paired with a nice tailored short, then it would be summer perfection.

Adam seems to have got his trends a little mixed up. Sorry, I must take this call. Ohhh it's MC Hammer on the line Adam, he wants his trousers back, NOW ! Love the shirt though.

*Neil of The Science of Appearance*

It's a seriously laid-back look for someone who is normally super polished and pulled together. I love the shirt, it's smart enough to carry him into the evening while the short sleeves and open top buttons give it a relaxed feel. It's when we head downstairs that I have issues. The harem pants I just can't abide, I may be judging this on personal taste but I just think the amount of people who can wear them is about 0.1% of the population - but I don't think it's over-flattering on them either. BUT, to his defense, his easy-going attitude means he is wearing them well; he looks comfortable and happy. The shoes remind of those jelly sandals you wore to the beach as a kid though...
