Just a quick note to say that because Gigi Hadid has done the bathrobe-as-outerwear look, we are ALL allowed to!

She's a supermodel. Her sister is a model. Her brother is a model. Her mum, Yolanda, used to be a model. The Hadids KNOW how to sell a piece of clothing. They're experts at it. Gigi, the hardest working model-of-the-moment (next to Kendall, obviously), can quite literally wear a bin bag and make it look couture.

Literally.

I wish someone would challenge her at it.

I'm not saying for a minute that this Versace silk robe is a bin bag. Oh God no. As you know, Versace is my religion. But what I am saying is that it takes a supermodel like Gigi to pull this look off, and make it acceptable for us all to try it out.

To team it with black jeans, a black crop top and black flats - the most understated of all looks - is a clever move. For now our eyes are SOLELY drawn to the iconic Medusa heads and Greek symbol, and gold, black, white amazingness. A masterclass at statement piece-dressing.

Let's not forget, ladies and gents, THIS IS STILL A BATHROBE. A £2380 bathrobe, but a bathrobe nonetheless. Oh the brilliance!
