Even though we are only just getting over the bitter winter of 2008, the fashion world moves slightly quicker. Dolce and Gabbana have just shown their Winter 2010 menswear collection, and what a collection it is! In the current economic climate, some designers are adapting their new seasons clothes; different colours, cheaper fabrics etc. Not the Italian duo however. Never ones to shy away from bold prints and fine textures, the catwalk was filled with suits, jackets and trousers that demonstrate their exquisite tailoring and shows their brilliant use of complimenting colours. Quilted suits, chess-board print jackets, brightly coloured velvet pieces and daring combinations is what you can expect of their new collection. They use four main colours; black, white, red and pink which keep the clothes playful yet practical. Velvet and satin trims and lapels keep all the jackets and trousers very stylish and effortlessly elegant. The suit is going to be HUGE this season and by the looks of it next season too but don’t worry, it doesn’t have to be plain black anymore! D&G are one of the many fashion houses mixing up the colour palette for the suit. You heard it HERE first!
