Hey!

Welcome to The Very Simon G. My blog has been going for nearly a decade, but there ain’t getting away from me just yet! Come in for fashion, fun and everything in between. Enjoy!

Princess Margaret is a bag!

You all know by now of my incessant fascination with the Royal family, I just can't help my self. I found my self watching a whole programme on Balmoral last weekend! Am I normal? I think not.

But when a rather large fashion house launches their very own range dedicated to one particular Royal, I have to say I very much like it and I'm sure you all do too! Yes, Mulberry now have the Margaret collection, named after Princess Margaret. One of my favourite royals, she was so debauched and controversial in an institution that really doesn't welcome either (all the parties and drugs and not to mention her divorce!), and one of my favourite brands, mostly for their undeniably amazing handbags, are in collaboration...sort of... Margaret's dead of course, but she's looking down nodding and smiling!

Not only have Mulberry launched a gorgeous handbag collection in dedication to the late Princess, but there are clothes to team the bags with! The Margaret dress, the Margaret blouse and the Margaret jacket. GENIUS! And it doesn't stop there; clutch bags, purses, belts and bracelets all make the Margaret cut.

On the Mulberry website, we are told that: "The Margaret family, named after Princess Margaret, is classic but has her unmistakable cheeky twist! There is a sculptured logo plaque of our 'We Believe in Tea and Cake' Crest - complete with English Bulldogs, teapots and cupcakes." Doesn't it all sound just fabulous?

What's more, the shoulder bags come in a mini size or standard and all feature a gorgeous leather and chain strap, synonymous to Chanel, that really embody the Princess.

Love it all! Wish I was a woman sometimes. Sadly I'll have to cope with some more Westwood. Oh well!
